1st night

We stopped in Columbus, NE around 9:30 last night as it was almost dark. Andy's truck lights were not working properly so that had to be looked at and oversize loads can't be on the road after dark. Got everything backed in at a small truck stop and went to Mcdonalds for a late supper. Had a safety meeting and finally got to bed around midnight. Some guys in the sleepers of the semis and the rest of us in the camper. It wasn't too hot, just right for sleeping actually, we didn't hook up the generator for a/c. I was tired but had a hard time falling asleep, slept great once I did though. Alarm came all too soon at 5am. some said they did not sleep well all night. By 7am all the trucks were checked over, fueled up, windows washed, log books done, and breakfast of peanut butter and rhubarb jam sandwiches consumed. We are on the road and should make it to Ryan, OK by late afternoon / early evening. Things are going well right now and I hope they continue so. In Nebraska right now on a good road, somewhat hilly, coming up to the Kansas border. Big fields, some irrigation. A lot or corn and beans, some hay, a little wheat, some cattle. most crops here look comparable to home, with some fields looking taller and others just planted.
