Is it time to think about summer already?

Yes, and actually we have been thinking about summer for a long while now. Basically since we got done with the fall harvest. We are indeed going for another round of combining wheat this summer. Preparations are in full swing. We will be running 4 Case 2388 combines this summer. They are all traded up from last year to get machines with less hours on them. Jon, Dan, and Holly's Grandpa Daryl have been working everyday in the shop making adjustments and getting the combines ready to go. We also purchased another tri-axle truck that is getting a custom made grain box put on it that will match our other truck. We are looking for one more tri-axle truck yet since we sold the white one.

But our biggest holdup at this point is help, seasonal workers. This is honestly one of the biggest challenges for all seasonal harvest crews. That is why so many big crews hire lots of people from other countries anywhere from Denmark to South Africa. We are looking for some hard-working and reliable people to drive trucks, combines, and grain cart for this summer. Having a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) as well as experience driving trucks and farm machinery is much preferred, but don't hesitate to call us to get more information.
